We were treated to breakfast in our room again. I had a giggle over the differences of American and Italian dishes and what we thought we were ordering. I then had decided to rest my foot for a bit. Ben took a long walk along the coast and then when he returned we had lunch at the pizza place we had already enjoyed. Checked out the grocery store and I was shocked at how great there prices are. I don’t have room for any extra but I could have bought a lot of treats.
We then decided to catch a hop on hop off double decker bus. Hoping this would save some walking. We had reservations at 5:00 to see The Veiled Christ at one of the churches. I had been looking forward to this as it was really the only at we were getting in this trip. Our bus hit a protest and wasn’t moving so we got out and walked the last 20 minutes to the church.
We were not allowed to take any pictures at SanSevero church which is such a shame. I’d love to show you. The church is full of beautiful pieces and the ceiling is painted. But the famous piece is in the center of the room. It’s made from one piece of marble and the covering on the Christ looks so delicate. (Stock photo)
That evening we had dinner at a nearby pasta place and I wished we had just gone back to the pizza place we really liked.
