Our driver picked us up early and knew some amazing fast way to the airport and we were there with lots of time. Waited an hour before our airline even opened their desks to collect luggage. Then we spent an hour in a lounge. This lounge was not as nice as the one we had used before but still very nice to have a comfy seat and a lite snack.
After the short flight we had a little longer wait at the Rome airport lounge. Again not as nice as the others. And quite full. We were lucky to find seats. Then onto our second plane, Rome to Frankfurt.
We were served a meal of sorts on this plane! The flights today were used with points I had gotten on flights in 2017 and 2019 and with a credit card I know longer had. I started looking around for points I might have and was shocked to find I had enough to get first class flights from Naples to Frankfurt and I also used the points for the hotel stay in London!
Coming from dirty grungy historical Naples, Italy and landing in the financial district of Frankfurt, Germany where its clean and the buildings are made mostly of glass is a bit of a culture shock. But I think both Ben and I are happy to be back to civilization. 😁
