contest

I was looking around my blog hoping to see what I did the last two years for our wedding anniversary. I guess we didn't do anything too exciting because I never wrote about it, we just always thought we would do something big on our 10th. OOPS

But when looking around I did find an old post about a contest I did in August 2008. I asked you all for a good read. I actually read a few books that were suggested and amazingly had 12 comments. That has to be a record for my blog.

Sooooo that got me thinking. It must be time for another contest. I am always looking for new books or new authors. So starting now and ending Sunday, July 25th I would like your favorites, something on your list to read, or a book you have heard a lot about lately. I will then randomly choose 1 winner of a $10.00 STARBUCKS gift card. You, anyone reading this, not just my friends or family, can comment as many times as you want but only 1 post will count.

I have to say that I am really liking James Patterson. I recently read Sam's Letters to Jennifer and fell in love with him. If you want something a little more intence try 19 Minutes by Jodi Picoult.

P.S. If you have not signed up for paperbackswap.com you have to. You would love it!
I can't wait to read all of the comments and get book ideas too!

I love reading and these are some of the books I've recently read and enjoyed!

This is nonfiction, but it's one that I think everyone needs to read, "Gospel Primer" by Milton Vincent. Another good nonfiction is "Dug Down Deep" by Josh Harris and "Gospel Powered Parenting" by William Farely. A nonfiction, medical documentary one that I am in the middle of and finding fascinating is, "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" by Rebecca Skloot. :)

If you haven't read The Help, it's great. Right now I'm reading Hotel on the corner of Bitter and Sweet it took me a some time to get into it, but i'm half way through and can't put it down now. And, I haven't read it but a friend said The seven miracles that saved America is good.

YAY! I figured out I can leave a comment by using Matt's gmail account! I have been reading Terri Blackstock books lately. I have been on a mystery kick.
