Doctor visit

So today I thought I would go in and take another celiac test and then joyfully stop eating gluten as I wait for results. But after a while talking with my doctor he is sending me to a GI doctor in Salem to have them do the tests and I will be on gluten another few weeks. In the mean time he wanted to run some more tests today. I needed to have blood drawn and a very capable nurse came in and drew it from my left arm. It started and then my blood just stopped. So she tried my right arm. Same thing. NO BLOOD. (Mind you, I have the best veins. They are fat and right at the top of the skin. Perfect for nurses and this has never happened. My blood pressure was also not abnormally low, I mean I run on the low side normally and have never had this problem.) So she wrapped me up and said I should go upstairs to the hospitals lab. I went upstairs and when I took my jacket off to show her why I needed labs done my arm was bleeding everywhere. I have blood all over my coat and purse. It was a mess. The poor receptionist got me some more gauze and then I waited forever for a lab tech to come get me for labs. It was quite embarrassing to sit in front of everyone with blood all over my arm. It looked so gross and felt so sticky. Finally the lab got me and cleaned me up and she was able to draw some blood. She said I will probably have a nasty bruise on my arm.

I was never so glad to leave a hospital as I was today.

I think I am at "that" time of the month because I am so emotional and tired. I would love to just climb into bed but I am watching a friends kid today.

I hope the rest of the week goes better then today.

So there is my whine fest. Sorry you all get to be a part of it but it feels good to let it out. :)
