Deep thoughts

I remember in high school and into college, my mom and I would shop at this store called Hirons. (love that store by the way.) It's a pharmacy that sells really cool gifts and has a mass amount of greeting cards. There were cards by Jack Handey who writes Deep Thoughts. I find this man hilarious. It may say something about me that I find him so funny, and not something all that good.

Here are two of my favorite ones:

****"If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is, "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is, "Probably because of something you did."

****One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going
to take my nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. "Oh no," I said, "Disneyland burned down."
He cried and cried, but I think that deep down he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but decided to go home instead.

In 9th grade I had this English teacher who would post one of his quotes every day and I LOVED them. They are just so off the wall!

I loved going to Hiron's with you! Remember when we would get so excited about the sticker grab bags? And I was so excited when you sent me one in the mail! :)

Love that store. Maybe we will have to make a trip back one day, when we are rich again???
